Community & Partners Update
Lovell Partnership

During the lockdown we developed several projects to develop outdoor spaces so that our families that live in inadequate housing with little or no access to outdoor public facilities could have access to alternative solutions. Our idea was to provide opportunities for families to engage in outdoor activities together, particularly supporting those who have been isolated during lockdown.

Over the past 5 years Lovell have supported several Home-Start Greenwich projects across the Royal Borough of Greenwich and in 2020 Lovell took the opportunity to be part of this exciting project and supported us with items for an outdoor space at Mulgrave school which now has a fully developed allotment area.

At the start of October 2021, Lovell along with Home-Start Greenwich teamed up again to work on the outdoor space at our Plumstead Nursery/ Children Centre site. Lovell were able to donate 12 volunteers on the day, as well as materials, tools, and planting. We are so grateful for the support provided and absolutely thrilled that they have said that they will continue to support the staff to keep on top of the space and help the children to develop outdoor skills.

On Wednesday 27th Lovell hosted a celebratory event at the Trinity Walk development in Woolwich to mark the completion of the development. As part of the event they ran a raffle – with prizes provided by their sub-contractors, they made Home-Start Greenwich the beneficiary of the raffle and raised over £500 on the day. We are extremely grateful for this generous donation and for all of the support received from Lovell over the past couple of years.
