Royal Borough of Greenwich Growth Fund Public Vote
The Royal Borough of Greenwich have given Greenwich residents the chance to vote for their three favourite community projects which they think will have the biggest impact where they live. Their vote will help decide which of the shortlisted projects should receive funding.
We are one of the shortlisted projects, our funding bid is requesting money to help us to transform a community space into a hub with a focus on delivering responsive supportive interventions that are tailored to the needs of our target groups such as Young Parents. The aim of the hub is to connect families with a community of services in an intimate, safe and inviting space. It will be a welcoming, collaborative place with a dual generational focus, to improve the life chances of parents and their children by educating them, upskilling them and helping them to prepare their children for school.
The site will run activities such as:
Cookery Club: Cookery classes
Job Club: Employability skills support
Parenting Club: Parenting skills support and advice sessions
Play Club: Role modelling play sessions with children-(link to Centres)
Well-being Club: counselling, well-being sessions
Nature Club: Connect parents with nature and access to outdoor spaces
The bid is for £8,632 to carry out internal refurbishment in the form of plastering, redecoration, and floor coverings. Assets required will form part of our on-site support to develop skills and confidence in young parents and other groups that we will be using the site to support.
The two week public vote will take place from Friday 7th May until Friday 21st May.
Below is a link to the form for you to place your vote, our project is listed under area 3, we would really appreciate your support. Thank you.
